Dr Imtiaz Sooliman, founder of Gift of the Givers, was selected as “Person of the Year” by Afrikaans magazine Vrye Weekblad.
Dr Sooliman accepts responsibility for all human beings in both hemispheres in every universal tragedy, his group’s response is overwhelming.
Never in human history has any medical professional contributed such compassion on so large a scale.
This award is for his altruism, reverence for life and tireless global contributions which has helped make the idea of brotherhood between all nations a living one.
The sacrifices he has made for the safety and welfare of humanity is priceless and deserves lifelong gratitude from all of us.
Humanity will always be grateful for what Dr Sooliman has done during unprecedented times, rendering medical assistance, covering many decades, spanning many continents.
Dr Sooliman and his medical team have abided by their Hippocratic Oath, one of the oldest binding documents. In global war zones, refugee camps, natural tragedies, famine-stricken areas, the outstretched helping hand of Gift of the Givers brings comfort and solace to millions across the world.
His contribution to human health is beyond comprehension. The monumental contributions made by this legendary physician, who assisted thousands and inspired millions of lives, will never be matched in our lifetime.
In the pursuit of assisting stricken victims of war and tragedy, his timely medical assistance has saved countless lives.
Dr Sooliman has been and will be an inspiration for all those who believe in health as a foundation of social justice.
He is a symbol of commitment and dedication to the cause of equity and justice in health for people.
His life is a concrete example of selfless service of humanity with an unflinching commitment to ease pain and suffering.
Beloved Dr Sooliman, my congratulations to you, for being chosen Person Of The Year.
