OPINION -  An appeal to every eligible voter: please register for the forthcoming election. Subsequently, whether you vote or not and which party you want to vote for becomes your choice, but please register. It is the right thing to do.

The youth of today will have to play a meaningful role in shaping this great country so that South Africa becomes the envy of all the democracies in the world. The future is in the hands of the youth. I urge every youth to register during the coming registration periods.

Apathy has contributed to the dilemma we are in, in this very beautiful country of ours. If all of us register and vote, we could change the course of one of the best countries in the world. Please register. It is the right thing to do.

Statistics have revealed that only 30% of Indians registered for the previous election. Furthermore, only 20% to 30% of those who registered voted. This translates thus: only 10% of Indians voted. An appeal to all Indians: please register to vote. It is the right thing to do.

Indians should not marginalise themselves. All of us, irrespective of race, colour or creed, are an integral part of South Africa. Let us unite and get rid of the ills in this country.

To the people of our country: the decision to vote or not is solely yours, and yours alone. This is your democratic right.

No one can steal that vote from you. You have the choice. But, you will have no choice if you do not register. Therefore, please register. It is the right thing to do.
