Excitement is mounting ahead of the City’s Durban Fashion Fair (DFF) themed ‘Coming of Age’.

The DFF will be hosted at the Station Urban Event Space from September 18-20. Tickets cost R120 per show. There are also day passes available for R250 to attend all the shows on a day, while an all-inclusive three-day VIP pass costs R500.

Fashion lovers, buyers, and industry role players can buy their tickets from Boxer stores and Pick ‘n Pay outlets as well as online at www.webtickets.co.za

The three-day fashion extravaganza features 12 shows showcasing the talent of 70 new and household-name designers from across Africa. There will also be a pop-up shop featuring locally manufactured fashion products.

Emerging fashion designers who have been training for nine months under the Municipality’s Fashion Development Programme, will also showcase at the DFF.

The City’s Economic Development and Planning Committee chairperson, Councillor Thembo Ntuli, said the DFF theme speaks to the Municipality’s Fashion Development Programme’s proud 13-year history of making an impact on the local fashion industry.

“The DFF is one of the city programme’s components aimed at providing skills development, capacity building, and access to market opportunities. The DFF showcase is proudly Durban and encourages the public to ‘buy local’ and support the up-and-coming talents of tomorrow,” he said.

Shows start at 6pm on all three days of the fair.
