“If lots is good, more is better and too much is just right.”

Hans-Jurgen Abt, senior adrenalin junkie at Bavarian tuning haus Abt Sportline, didn't write those words (they're attributed to Mae West) but it would appear that he has taken their spirit to heart, with a tuning package for Audi's already-attitudinous RS7 that amps up the outputs of its four-litre biturbo V8 from 412kW and 700Nm to a tar-wrinkling 490kW and 830Nm, with the V-Max electronic governor set at an even 300km/h.

And if that's not enough to tousle your toupee, the 'New Generation' Power S package, which includes a marginally street-legal stainless-steel auspuff, jacks up those numbers even further to 515kW, 880Nm and 320km/h.

Jason Statham would love it.

Particularly as Abt has deliberately kept the visuals low-key; the cabin gets neat monogrammed floor-mats and special integrated ambient lighting, while the only external tweaks are a clear-coated carbon-fibre spoiler, custom-made wheel spacers and Hans-Jurgen's own alloy rims - either the 20” ER-C in 'siver bullet' finish, shod with 275/35 semi-slicks or gun-metal-coloured 21” DR hoops wearing 275/30 gumballs.

Just the job for transporting dodgy parcels long distances as quickly and unobtrusively as possible.
