Honda has given us exactly one paragraph of information about the upgraded CR-Z coupé that will go on sale soon.

That's not much to go on, but what really piqued our interest was the part about the power of both its petrol engine and electric motor having been increased.

Sadly it's all cloak-and-dagger from there and we'll have to wait until the Paris Motor Show on 27 September to find out the actual details.

The current CR-Z's hybrid powertrain has a system output of 91kW and it's been criticized for lacking oomph.

The 2013 upgrade also includes revisions to the styling, both inside and out.

All we have to work with now is the darkened direct-front image that you see here and the most obvious change is that it now has a set of LED lights running along the bottom of the headlights and between them you’ll see a restyled bumper/grille.

Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
