Durban - Toyota has announced a limited-edition version of its Etios hatch, the Etios Sport.
With its comprehensive aero kit of front spoiler, body-coloured side skirts, rear bumper spoiler, roof spoiler, 15" alloys and distinctive badging, this special Etios designed to appeal to a young, sporty audience.
It's available in metallic silver, metallic red, metallic blue and gloss black.
The cabin boasts a high-tech, double din audio system similar to the one fitted to the new Etios Cross, with USB and Aux-In ports as per the Etios Xs, but with Bluetooth connectivity as well for hands-free telephony.
SORRY, NO EXTRA VOOMAH
The Sport has the same 16-valve DOHC 1.5-litre four, rated for 66kW at 5600rpm and 132Nm at 30000rpm, as the rest of the Etios range.
Standard kit shared with its Xs sibling include colour-coded exterior trim (mirrors and door handles), front foglights, remote central locking, electric windows all round, aircon, power steering, headlight levelling, seven cup-holders, a 13-litre refrigerated glove compartment, door-ajar warning, seatbelt warning, dual front airbags, ABS and an immobiliser.
Priced at R153 500, the Etios Sport will be limited to only 200 examples.
