We all know there's a new Toyota Hilux on the way, prototypes have been spied out and about for quite some time now, specs have been leaked and we even know what it's going to look like thanks to the latest round of spy photos ( click here for those ).
However, it's taken until now for Toyota to actually 'officially' say anything about its new generation bakkie, which can't come too soon for Toyota South Africa given the mammoth sales fight that Ford's Ranger has been putting up of late.
But before we get too carried away, this is not a full reveal - that is only set to take place on 21 May - but the short 18-second video, posted by Toyota's Thai division, does give us a close-up on the headlights and foglights and the basic outline of the front end, for what it's worth.
According to previous reports, the new Hilux will also usher in a new generation of turbodiesel engines, in the form of a 123kW/400Nm 2.4 and a 2.8 that delivers up to 130kW and 450Nm.
