After serving up a rather wild looking Aygo and facelifted Yaris in recent times, Toyota has taken a softer approach with its freshened Auris hatchback.
Whereas the Aygo and Yaris are out to turn heads with their daring 'x' shaped frontal features, the British-built Auris instead aims to add "presence and prestige" with a sharper evolution of the current model's basic look.
Up front we see completely new headlights, grille and bumper, while stylists have also made some major changes to the dashboard, which has a completely redesigned central section and instrument cluster.
Toyota mentions new comfort and safety equipment features, as well as new and improved petrol and diesel engines, but its communications department are not going into detail on that stuff before the car's debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month. Stay tuned.
