As part of its Art is Motion campaign, Lexus has created a one-off IS300h that paints a portrait of you on the information screen while you drive, and the visual identity it creates for you actually depends on how you drive.
Generative art specialist Sergio Albiac worked in conjunction with Lexus to create the system, which uses specially developed software to mimic Albiac's artistic style.
Drive in an economical manner, making maximum use of the vehicle's electric motor, and the system paints a more detailed picture of you, using mainly colder colours.
Put your foot down, to light up the V6 petrol motor and make better use of the sedan's 164kW system output, and the resulting portrait is more abstract and more vibrant in its colouring.
However, there is one crucial skill lacking in that it won't paint a silly-looking caricature when the driver does something stupid behind the wheel.
