Moscow - A Russian Soyuz spacecraft carrying two Americans and a Russian from the International Space Station has landed in Kazakhstan.

Cosmonaut Fyodor Yurchikhin and astronauts Shannon Walker and Douglas Wheelock touched down on Friday morning in the steppes of the Central Asian nation. Video from the scene showed the space fliers being extracted from the capsule in apparently good condition.

The landing took place four days earlier than initially planned because Kazakh officials have requested air space be kept clear for the December 1-2 summit by the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe. - AP
