Absa has introduced a new technical support help-line to meet the increasing demand for its free internet service.
The new telephone number, 082 288 9900, will replace 082 245 9562, which ceased operating last week.
The general enquiries number, 0860 166 177, remains the same.
Santie Botha, the Group Executive Director of Absa, says the bank has opened the new line to improve service levels to their free internet users.
The bank initially hoped for 10 000 sign-ups in the first month. 10 000 users signed up in the first day and by the end of last week - just two months later - over 120 000 users had signed up.
