Absa has introduced mobile automatic teller machines to be used in rural areas, as an interim service where ATMs and/or branches have been moved.

The mobile ATMs will be deployed during peak vacation periods at popular holiday venues, at exhibitions and at points where state pensions are paid, such as AllPay, which is a pension pay-out system for the distribution of government pensions.

Each mobile ATM vehicle is fitted with a counter and a teller machine.

The services available include cash withdrawals, balance enquiries, deposits, inter-account transfers, account payments, mini statements, Saswitch-linked transactions, opening of accounts, issuing of cards and application for funeral policies.

Clients can also buy prepaid cellular vouchers and have lost ATM cards replaced.
