The 49 hectare farm on the Old Paarl Road is mainly used as a popular function venue and restaurant but on site there are also 7ha of good quality vineyards, a wine cellar, a water-purifying and bottling plant, a children’s play park as well as a nursery.

Being offered as a going concern with all loose assets included, Eaglevlei has water allocation for 14ha from the Wynland Water Users’ Association.

The farm is on the block at 11am and the loose assets at 11.30am. The sequestrated Westland farm of 889.7ha is in the Op-die-Berg area, renowned for its prolific production of apples, pears, peaches and vegetables. The farm has apple, pear and pomegranate trees, as well as potato and onion crops.

About 309ha are arable land. Among the loose assets to be sold will be 4x4 and other tractors; pivots; forklifts; potato farming equipment; irrigation and spraying equipment; balers; fertilisers; ploughs; trailers and scrapers. Viewing of the farm and implements is on on August 11 from 10am to 4pm. Covid-19 regulations will be enforced at both viewing and auction processess.
