The Empire Partner Foundation (EPF) is setting a new precedent for equal access to justice in South Africa with its latest initiative—a modern digital case management solution developed for ProBono.Org.

This collaboration underscores EPF's unwavering commitment to leveraging technology for significant social change, paving the way for a more inclusive legal landscape.

The newly introduced digital platform is designed to streamline operations at ProBono.Org, revolutionising the way the organisation manages legal cases and client interactions.

Furthermore, this collaborative innovation aims to enhance efficiency in case handling, exploring real-time tracking of legal support, and ultimately broadening ProBono.Org's outreach to under-served communities.

During a symbolic gathering at the EPF Tech Hub to celebrate this significant milestone, key figures including Meluleki Nzimande, Chairman of ProBono.Org; Mohamed Shafie Ameermia, National Director of ProBono.Org; Nathan Mariemuthu, Founder of EPF; Simbarashe Mhlanga, CEO of EPF AI Campus; and Joanna Govender, CEO of Empire Partner Foundation and EPF Tech Fund, came together to commemorate the occasion.

Joanna Govender expressed her enthusiasm about the potential of this new technology, stating, “Access to justice is a fundamental human right, and technology can be a powerful enabler in breaking down barriers. Through this solution, we hope to contribute to ProBono.Org's purpose of making legal services available to all, regardless of socioeconomic situation.”

Shafie AmeermiaMohamed Shafie Ameermia echoed this sentiment, highlighting the transformative impact that the partnership with EPF signifies. “This relationship with EPF marks a new chapter for ProBono.Org. The digital platform will dramatically improve our ability to link those in need with the legal assistance they require, making justice more inclusive and effective,” he asserted.

The launch of this digital solution aligns seamlessly with EPF’s broader mission of harnessing technology for societal good and fostering innovation in essential sectors such as legal technology and also reflects EPF’s ongoing dedication to supporting organisations championing social justice initiatives, ensuring that technological advancements are tailored to address humanity’s most pressing challenges.
