IT WAS an all-white affair at the Joburg All White Bubbly Fair on Saturday, December 10, as the crowd came out in numbers for this prestigious event that was held at Waterfall Park in Midrand.

The All White Bubbly Fair forms part of the "Gimme Summer That Sho’t Left" activation campaign that was recently launched by Tourism Minister Lindiwe Sisulu, whereby the minister urged South Africans to get out of the house more.

Upon entrance to the fair, guests received a complimentary glass of champagne, and for the rest of the night, they were spoilt for choice as a variety of the country’s finest bubbly and MCC brands were on display. The event also showcased some of the most amazing food trucks Joburg has to offer and live performances by some of South Africa's most popular musicians, as well as DJ Fresh.

Vivian Ekezie, who’s one of the winners that won two complimentary tickets to attend the event, said: "I was so happy when I found out that I won tickets to come enjoy myself here. The whole event is going nicely; there's great music and, of course, bubbles. Everything is good, and I’m having a great time."

Another winner, Sibusiso Radebe, said: "The event is chilled; I’m happy. I entered the competition with no expectations to winning, and I was really shocked to find that I won. DJ Fresh’s set was the one for me. He really closed it down."

Toko Moeketsi from the SA Tourism Shotleft Activation Team said: "With affordability and accessibility topping the list of reasons why South Africans aren’t taking as keen an interest in travel as they previously did, Sho’t left is on a mission to educate South Africans and introduce them to amazing travel deals to make travel part of their lives which will have a positive impact on not only the performance to tourism in South Africa but the people too."

The night ended with spectacular live performances by DJ Fresh, who entertained guests with hits from amapiano to house and Kwaito music.
